New song - Old songs

New stuff out from two excellent bands, the Broken Family Band and Okkervil River. The first video is from the new Broken Family Band album, Hello Love. The second is from last year's Okkervil River EP, The Presidents Dead. It's not what you'd expect from the current political climate though, it's actually completely sincere like most everything else Okkervil River does. As a bonus we'll add some Man Man because... well because Man Man and therefore awesome.

The Broken Family Band - Love Your Man, Love Your Woman

Okkervil River - The President's Dead

Man Man - Feathers and Engrish Bwudd (Live)

I love all of these songs. I really like the Man Man video because it is totally just a bunch of guys having fun! It's not like they're up there performing trying to look sexy and cool and fake. They genuinely look like there are just having so much fun and enjoy what they do and getting paid to do it (although probably not a lot because it looks like they all need a bath!).

I love your new "quotes to love" on the side bar btw, actually.

All right. I love your politics, but we don't exactly have the same taste in music. ;)

Hi Scott,
I thought you might like to read this:

Yes, "National Socialism" was not only national, it was socialism. :)

ZZZzzzzzzzz.....UPDATE!!!

National Socialism was socialist? Who'd-a-thunk it?

Still, if that guy's whole premise is socialism was the cause of the people loyalty to Hitler I disagree with him. It was certainly a contributing factor, but I would argue the threat of communism and the seldom mentioned hunger blockade by the English in World War I that starved over 750,000 innocent Germans to death had more to do with it.

I can agree with that.
