RON PAUL'D!

Not exactly a substantially informative video but it made me crack up laughing.

From 1988

I thought this video was awesome! I thought of it last night when we were watching that Freedom to Fascism movie with the part about the National ID card and the pizza girl was going to charge the guy an extra 20.00 because it showed that he had high cholesterol.

Anyway, I just really REALLY don't understand why people want to be baby-sat and policed by the government. It really scares me how easily people are willing to give up there freedom.

*their* freedom.

And take away mine!

Fear.

I can see the $20 cholesterol tax becoming a reality for sure. Especially as we drift closer to full State control of health care. The logic will be the same as the seat belt logic.

Seat belt logic: If you get in an accident without a seatbelt and you don't have insurance it costs the State money to provide your medical care.

Cholesterol tax logic: If you eat unhealthy and get sick you are costing the State more money to provide your medical care.

Simple logic and the principle of vested interest. If the State pays your bills, they have more of a say in what you do. The Welfare State is the gateway to Mussolini's totalitarianism.

Ahhh Morton Downey Jr... the epitome of 80s trash TV.

There is a fair balance between complete government tyrrany and authoritarianism and "personal responsibility" style anarchy.

The American public is not mature enough any more to accept a candidate like Ron Paul. He expects us to be grown up enough to take some responsibility for our lives and people have gotten way to accustomed to having the government say what they can and cannot do, and then subsidizing it with some program.

I really hope their is a revolt because I would like to see these crybabies try to survive when they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with a shotgun.

Ha ha!
That was pretty funny.
Agree with Paul. Not the government's job. It's time adults made their own decisions.
